Question:

I heard there was a "perfect game" bowled in cricket? Like five years ago or so? What was that?

Seriously, it's driving me crazy. I'm from America and I have no idea what this was, and I can't find it anywhere on the internet. I thought it was something like the equivalent of a no-hitter in baseball; a bowler throwing a game without any runs scored perhaps? Whatever it is, it's something that's NEVER happened before in Cricket until it happened once within the last five or ten years or so. Help me!

  2. There is no such a thing as a perfect game bowled in cricket

which you are referring to baseball - no hit game. The closest

it can come may be is open for opinions. But I think a perfect

game for cricket could be when a bowler takes all 10 wickets

in an innings. This has happened only twice in the history of the

game. Jim Laker and Anil Kumble were the bowlers to achieve

    this feet.

Generally in cricket, the statistics kept for a bowler if he gets

5 wickets in an innings or 10 wickets in a test match. That can

also be looked upon as perfect game.

  3. See if you can find someone who took all ten wickets in each of the two innings in a game. That's a perfect bowling game.

Some folks class a double century whilst batting and ten wickets when bowling. I'll just refer to my brother's boy's book and see how close he got to those scores about five years ago.

Of course maybe you misheard and they were referring to Ten Pin Bowling - 300 or even a computer game. Nothing in my book.

  4. yeah I have to second Vicky's answer. You must be referring to Kumble's 10 wicket haul. It seems a relatively achievable target but has only ever been done once before.

  5. 'the perfect game' wat r u talkin bout dude.

i thinks u r havin a lend of us crikets peoples.

  6. The only game I can remember being called that was an ODI where Australia were labelled as playing "close to the perfect game". I can't remember the other team though!

  7. Sorry,I  haven't heard  the term "perfect game" in cricket.

Indian  leg spinner,Anil Kumble   took  all  10 wickets of the Pakistan team in the second innings in a test match in 1999

    -----a perfect 10.

This was done previously  by Jim Laker of England in 1956.

It's a rare feat, happened just 2 times in the history of international cricket.

I think  you are referring to this incident.
