  1. A friend of mine took the "mini pill" while nursing. I don't know the brand, but I believe it is one hormone. Where as most birth control pills are a combination of two different drugs.


  2. its called the mini pill, also called micronor...im on it have been for 3 months now, still have spotting..my sister is on it also she loves it, still takes it now and she hasnt breastfed for almost 6 months now....hope it works for you

  3. Any progesterone only pill is safe, since it does not affect the milk supply. They are not as effective as the combined pill if used on their own, but they are about 99% effective if combined with consistent breastfeeding.

    The only two brands I know of are Micronor and Noriday, but I'm sure there are lots of generic brands. Depo and the contraceptive implants are also safe, since they don't contain estrogen.

    ETA: I just looked it up- some common generic versions are Camila, Errin, Jolivette, and Nora-Be
