  1. wow in Indonesian yes its truth. it will begin 2008. stock of Ollie 2 stroke will be difficult

  2. honda r the only manufacturer to say this, ktm hav commited themselves to still produce 2strokes that r well under the emission level...the acu/fim hav said that 4 strokes ruin and through noise levels hav closed alot of tracks and want 2 strokes back..whether this happens who knows but honda of all ppl know that they r easily capaple of makin a QUIET and CLEANER 2 stroke...its politics on a far higher level behind closed doors that has brought this about i think alot of ppl rave how 4 strokes r easier to ride but in truth they r heavy noisy and repair costs r alot higher wonder how many mums and dads will b choosing 2 strokes over 4 wen they get the repair bill in lol i was raised riding 2 strokes and will continue to ride them i would definantly sign a petition if they totally outlawed them..like anything else u complain enough heads turn and things r changed hopefully honda will reconsider wen they lose sales only time will tell!!

  3. The gov changed the emmision laws for off road vehicals in 2005 and thats why they quit making the blaster and the banshee yamaha atvs in 2006. I was talking to my dealer and he said that they were going to eventually.

  4. I'm not sure but they probably are going to stop making them because. the four stroke is a way better bike they are faster bikes the suspension on them is way better the motors if you take care of them they will last forever and ever. The 2 stroke will get off the line quicker then the four strokes will but the four stroke will walk all over the 2 strokes on the top end. And on the four stroke you have to shift way less which make it better for on the berms. cause on the two stroke your come out of the berms and your shift every three second but on the four stroke all you half to do is come into the berms hit the brake once or twice and sling shot out of it. so on the four you just don't have to think as much.

  5. I do not know but it would make sense.  Dirt bikes would get more torque, better gas mileage, and bit more power.  But they would lose a little of their specific sound.

  6. you are partly right.....they are going to stop making 2 stroke ATVs but not dirt bikes..

  7. honda said in 2003 were gonna stop making 2 strokes they are now gonna stop and in 2008 they will stop making 2 stroke dirt bikes i dont know about the other brands me and my friends were talking about it at lunch and they said  all of the other brands were gonna stop too

there was an article on dirt bike magazine online that were talking about the honda two strokes and said they were gonna stop 2008

  8. I don't believe/hope so! Some larger manufacturers already have because of the unfair handicaps two-strokes are given in some competition areas. Two-strokes are much more powerful than four-strokes, so they are grouped together in classes with four-strokes with a much higher displacement, but they tend to overcompensate to give four-strokes an advantage. Probably an image because two-strokes do visible air pollution, and you can't normally see the fumes of four-strokes. Totally stupid if you ask me.

Dirtbiking to me, and not only me, will always be two-stroke. The sound and smell of a two-stroke are something that no four-stroke will ever be able to achieve - they just lack the soul. There will always be manufacturers who produce two-stroke dirtbikes, although they might lose some or all influence in the professional area. Either it will become a "conaisseur" thing, or I hope all the hype about environmentalism in motorsports will stop.

  9. KTM is still investing countless dollars in two stroke technology.

They understand that the two stroke has been pushed over by the four stroke before and will come back.

Cross country racing is growing in popularity, and two strokes are still a big part of this sport.

Dont forget free style. You wont see many thumpers doing back flips...
