I heard u can get your permit online? is this true or bogus???

umm .... details are i want my license lol - so whats the deal with this onlien drivers ed stuff - is it legit?

You can get the application for your permit and the materials to study online.  You cannot get your permit online because of the need for identification and you have to take a test.  I dont think it was a stupid question.  Just ignore the people on here that have to laugh at others to make themselves feel good.

You can get the stuff to study on it online, but you need to go to a DMV to take the test itself. My sister got hers and had to go a DMV to get it. It's so that they can give you results quicker and give you your I.D. right away, cuz they have the picturing place in the DMV.

According to the California DMV Handbook, you have two choices, one of which is an online or internet course:

1) 25 hours of classroom instruction. The 25-hour minimum does not include breaks or meal times.

2) Home study or an Internet training program. If you choose home study or an Internet training program, it must be the equivalent of the requirements for classroom instruction.

Two of my girls chose the online route because of their busy sport schedule (and thank God I didn’t have to drive them all over the place for classes).  One finished her course with DriversEdDirect.com and just got her permit last Tuesday – you still go to the DMV to get your permit because they have to pass a written test.  But the online course gets you your certificate the DMV requires for kids.  I was actually surprised with the whole experience – seemed pretty painless and the course was actually well put together…

You get online materials for learners permit. Thatz about it. For Drivers permit you WILL have to visit DMV.

I really dont think your old enough to drive,, this is really one stupid question!!! YEP - def true cause thats how i did mine - wootwoot - was the best an all my friends that didnt do onlien hated it cause they had to go to 30 hour class lol - get it with coupon DRIVESAFE cause its cost lest haha
