  1. nope your just not doing it correct. You can draw/fade the ball with any shaf or club

Open your stance up then adress the ball squarely if your feet were square. keep that line of plane when you contact the ball and youll strike it with a slightly open face. Feel like your holding on to he club longer through impact and releasing steeper up. Ever see tiger hit those power slices on call, his swing is severely steep and plane is open, he follows through almost over his head instead of to the left. You could hold the club tigher and even change your grip to a weaker grip meaning twisting your left hand in more (for right handers) in more so you see more knuckles that also has a tendency to hit a fade. You just got a practice man its not your shafts.

  2. What is your technique?  If the ball is still drawing, your path is too much to the inside and you are still releasing your hands.  Move a little closer to the ball, move it back a 1/2 inch or so, slightly hold one through impact, and finish high.

  3. Try this.  Tee the ball a little higher than normal and swing  harder than normal.  Chances are you will come thru the ball a little open and get an automatic fade.  Works for me.  Good luck.

  4. Try holding off your release.  Dont let the toe of the club pass the heel through impact.  This should help.

  5. Lot's of good techniques here and they all may work.  Something you may try in a pinch is to choke the hook/draw out of the shot by gripping the club much tighter with your right hand (if your right handed).  This will inhibit the release of the club head.  I also have a natural draw to my drive and on those occasions when I have to have a fade I set up open, rotate my entire grip to the left, grip the club a little tighter and lead with my legs a little faster.  Fade........

  6. You should be able to work it both ways with the same shaft.  If you are just talking about fading with a driver, I use two things that are not good swing moves normally, but pretty much guarantee a fade.  On the down swing I just slide the hips to the left (instead of staying behind the ball like you should normally), and I hang on with my hands, releasing as late as possible.  These two moves just about guarantee the club face will be open at impact imparting the fade spin.

  7. Align your feet and shoulders on the line you want to start the ball.  Align your clubface where you want the ball to end up.  As always, swing along the line of your feet. Everything else being the same, this should give you the flight you're seeking.  It is very easy when opening your feet to get the ball too far back in your stance which will make it extremely hard to hit a fade.  Good luck.
