I hit the car, I dont have liability insurance?

I hit this car and I don't have liability insurance. the cops were called and a complaint was lodged. however they did not issue me a ticket. I talked to the other party the next day as i traced them and talked to them. i am ready to pay for his car damage. I want to know will be better off that his car insurance company gets it repaired and will they send me the letter of demand. or shall i go with him to the body shop and get it repaired and get it done.

any help and advice is appreciable. the state is Connecticut.

If he goes through his own coverage, the work will be guaranteed, and you will know that the repair was completed properly.  Have him go through his own coverage.  The insurance company will send you a notice of subrogation once it has been completed.

insurance claim in Briton and the garage Will add a bit on,pay the garage yourself

either way works... might be cheaper if you and him work it out.... it wouldnt go on his and it wouldnt cost as much
