  1. no, you can stay in ireland up to 3 months without having to get a visa.

What country is your passport from?  Ireland is a Completely seperate country than the UK.  But they are of course a member of the E.U.  But if you would need a visa to visit the U.K.  chances are you will  need a visa to visit any of the other countries.   Just look up the website and call them or read online....  www.embassypages.com
