Question:

I honestly dont think i can do my driving test im just going too nervous any tips?

I havent even booked it yet but i am already dreading it! i am insured on my mums mini cooper and its soo different to the Yaris i learn in with my instructor. I now feel more comfortable in the mini yet i have to have my test in the yaris as its got all the stickers in the window and that to help you reverse around a corner etcc.. I have already decided that when i book my test i am not going to tell anyone this will take of loads of pressure. I know there are many questions about kalms and driving tests...but iam really sh**ting my pants but i dont know what iam scared off ? i mean i can only fail..please anyone just answer mee with any tipss or anything please please pleaseee

  1. I was the same way as you 5 years ago. :P Nervous and was always thinking something horrible was going to happen. But just relax and pretend you're driving with just an instructor. Don't even think it's a test. Be nice to the person who is testing too :D It doesn't hurt to kiss *** sometimes lol. Especially for your license! You'll be fine...I passed my first try, and so will you! Goodluck.


  2. I didn't tell anyone that I was taking the driving test. I just went with my husband for the h**l of it just to see what I would be tested on. I only drove like two times in the car that we took to the test. I ended up passing on my first try. Of course I was nervous and you could tell because I hit the curb driving up to the designated test area. But luckily that wasn't the test. LOL ... I had to parallel park, 3 pt turn, back up in a straight line and stop at STOP signs on a course ... But my examiner reminded me that the real test is when you are driving on the actual road.

    Have faith and confidence in your abilities to pass. I was 26 when I passed and that was a few weeks ago. I am still nervous getting behind the wheel. But if you can make it from point A to B and back home, you'll be alright! Good luck!

You can never completly elimante test anxiety.  You can only learn to deal with it.  You will have a stress response to the stressfull situation of the test.  How do you control it?  Preperation, you need to practice as much as humanly possible.  Have your mom grade you like the tester is going to do.  Ask her to rate your performance and try to have her be strict.  Also, the day off make sure you eat very good meals, not junk food, but healthy meal to prepare your body to deal with the stress.  Then just try to think of it as a lovely drive with your friend the tester.  (If at first you don't succeed, try try try again)
