I hooked up my amp to my two 6*8 speakers and now i dont get know sound all i hear is a loud noise coming?

from the speakers my front 6*8 speakers works but its not hook up to the amp just the radio. what could be the problema

did you make sure that you ran the speakers the opposite side of the car as the power wire?

Is the amp on?  

Re-check ground, inputs (rca's) wiring.

turn off the low-pass filter on the amp. or u don't have the amp connected right.
