My amp's clip light started flashing then the amp started cutting off when i first ran power thru it. I switched around the rca's and its stopped but now when i try to run them ith the radio, nothing can b heard but a really loud hum. Im not sure if the rca's are bad or if its the radio.

  1. yo, the answer is so obvious, that your not gonna believe it.. are you ready.. you didn't hook it up right like u said... cause if u did it would be play'n right now. and you wouldn't be asking us.. sorry if the truth hurt's, but u asked... you won't the truth you can't handle the truth...lol, nawh but for real i just felt like have'n a good laugh at your expense.... thanks...

  2. what you need is a good crossover. go to cardiscountstereos.com and they have them for cheap. i had the same problem in my jeep cherokee and i installed the crossover and they worked amazingly and the bass hit really hard.

  3. first is ur power wire ran next to ur rca cables. if they are run it differntly. if it still continues check all grounds and fuses. if the protection light on the amp is turning on make sure the cables are hoked up tight and correctly in the right plave. double check . it wouldnt b ur deck if ur amp's protect light is turning on there something up witht them amp. its either ur wiring or amp redo everything and make sure everything is right. also make sure you have good grounds. they cant be bolted onto plaint u have to scratch the paint away and then attach it. i think its ur grounds.

  4. another thing it may be is the amp. but before you try to change out the amp try trouble shooting the humming noise by seeing if it goes away when you remove the rca cables from the radio side. and just double check all the wiring, to make sure everything is connected correctly

  5. check to make sure your cables and power are not overlapping. it could be a bad amp check in a friends system. make sure everything is grounded amp and deck. you could of blown an eyelash fuse in your deck. also check your amp without the rca and make sure you have 11-13 volts going though.  It looks like you are having a power issue from bad ground, amp, deck.
