I hooked up my new cable converter box.?

i hooked up my cable converter box to my vcr and tv. can i use the program timer to tape tv shows on cable or do i have to record them manually? also how do i hook up my video consoles to my tv/vcr/cable converter box?

ok, start with the cable box, run the out to tv to the in from antenna on the vcr, then the out to tv of the vcr to tv

as far as recording, it depends on the vcr and cable box, but i would manually set each recorder to guarantee success
