  1. What kind of antenna??? Rooftop? Rabbit Ears? Directional? Telescope? Your antenna might not be suitable for your reception area, if you are far enough from the transmitter, rabbit ears might not be enough, you might need a rooftop antenna.

Then tune in to a channel that you know for a fact can be received in your area, then orient the antenna till you get a signal.

  2. B sure your cable/air is set to air, or cable if cable.

  3. Most (all) "newer" TVs are what is called CABLE-COMPATIBLE with a cable connection at the back of the set.

Your unit could be one with both types of antenna-connections (cable or "rabbit ears.")

The CABLE connection (called CATV or 75 Ohm) should not be used if you are connecting the antenna (Rabbit Ears or 300 Ohm.)

OR - your set could require PROGRAMMING to set up your local stations.

    CONSULT YOUR MANUAL.

  4. have you hit the tv and called in a wanker yet?

  5. Your antenna needs to point to the correct direction.

Go to antennaweb.org, enter your street address and you will get the appropriate info.

The fact that you get 0 channels, indicates that most probably you did not connect the antenna correctly. You should get at least 1-2 very bad analog channels. So, make sure the cable is connected securely at both the antenna and the TV end.

Also scan in ANT(enna) mode NOT Cable.
