The former Rossoneri defender believes that the sale of the Brazilian will be a sign of the Diavolo’s weakness, and has stated that a talent like the defender is impossible to replace.
Paolo Maldini has voiced his admiration for Thiago Silva, and has stressed that the Rossoneri defender’s exit from AC Milan will be a big blow to the strength of the team.
The Milan outfit is reportedly close to selling the Brazilian off to Paris Saint-Germain in a deal that could transcend the €40million mark.
Maldini has been accused of aiding the transfer by convincing Silva to move to Paris, but the veteran denied all such reports in a recent interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The former Diavolo defender was asked if he agrees to Massimiliano Allegri's assertion that selling the defender will be huge loss for the Milan outfit.
Maldini stamped his approval to the proposition, and stressed that it is almost impossible for the Rossoneri to find a replacement for a talent like Thiago Silva.
The veteran was all praise for the Brazilian international and stated that he has trained with the stopper, and is not at all surprised by the tremendous growth he has exhibited over the years.
The former Diavolo defender stressed that the technical attributes of the former Porto defender makes him an invaluable asset for any team.
While talking to the press, the 43-year-old said:

Having trained with him I am not surprised by his growth. He makes sense of the position, has technique, speed and personality.”
Maldini went on hail Silva as the world’s greatest defender, and insisted that selling a player like the Brazilian will be a sign of weakness on the part of the club.
