I hope federer realise nadal's weak point is his back hand. djokovic finally find out what nadal's weakness is. I saw it today. federer should attack nadal's backhand first and finish the point.

  1. nadal's backhand is not his weakness.. its a good defensive shot!

  2. His running low forehand was giving him trouble also.

  3. i don't think so,

if he did this he would b the next winner with straight sets...

    LET'S WATCH AND PRAY...

  4. Roger has had long enough to figure out Rafa's game on clay. I think almost four years is more than sufficient and really wonder if he ever will figure how to beat Rafa (regularly) on clay, and when it matters. Hamburg is nothing in the big picture. Paris is all that matters. I bet Roger would trade all his Hamburg titles for a single French Open one.

Barring his Hamburg victory over a fatigued Rafa last year, the closest that Roger ever made it was having three match points in Rome back in 06 and losing it 6-7 in the 5th set. He attacked like crazy that day and has not done so since on clay.

Just not sure how Roger figures out so many other opponents after losing to them, but just can't get any consistency against a clay Rafa! Still, he will have another great chance this year if he maintains his current form.

  5. You fail to realise that while Nadal's backhand is a weakness it's still a solid enough shot, however, the Nadal topspin forehand to Federer's backhand makes Fed's backhand look as good (i.e. rubbish) as yours or mine! hence, why Nadal plays the vast majority of his shots to Fed's backhand side and then puts him away on the forehand, Nadal, on clay at least, is like kryptonite to Federer.

    Anyways, Vamos Safin!!

  6. 9 out of 10 players will generally use the backhand as a defense or a set up shot, even the commentators on sky sports mentioned it yesterday, the exceptions would prolly be Nalbandian, who is owfully inconsistent, but can hit winners all day with his backhand, and djokovic and federer perhaps, but not as devastating as Nalbandians can be in terms of winners. if you have ever watched nadal versus federer before you will have noticed how often nadal just keeps blasting it back at federers forehand all the time, tbh it can get kind of boring but he does do it alot, its putting the pressure on federer to produce something special with a backhand, that is not really designed for making constant or consistent winners.everybody has their day where they will hit loads of backhand winner tho

  7. I'm just glad both are in the finals again!

  8. have you seen how many great backhands he delivered to Novak Djokovic?

and his on clay, even if it takes 3 hours, he will eventually win the match.

and when you play Rafa, he will also hurt you mentally, did you see how many unforced errors Novak Djokovic commit that should have been easy points, bcuz Nadal gives you that extra shot.

i dont know but if in your clay with Nadal its really hard to find any weaknesses

  9. The way to win Nadal tomorrow is put angles like Federer did in Monte-Carlo when he was up 4-0 and continue doing it without panicking. He has to serve good too. If Federer gets nervous, what he has to do is hit down the middle like a couple of times in a row not by anger, but do it before doing anything else, or hit a high percentage shot by reading Nadal's shot, and go after it but don't overkill the shots, which some players do and hit PERFECT drop shots against when he is too much far behind the baseline.

  10. better said than done..Don't u think after all this years, 15 matches played[not certain] Federer would have figured out Rafa's weak points?

Or even Djokovic for that matter? Its not like he was playing Rafa for the first time nor was it the 2nd time..

Y'all admit it..Rafa is just too good on clay..yea he got weaknesses but they are compansated by his incredibly excellent clay game.

    Vamos Rafa!

  11. lol, are you on crack or something?

HIs backhand is insane...he comes up with insane shots when he's under pressure on that backhand. Do you have like a mirrored tv? Does Fed appear left handed to you?

  12. Dont you think that if Nadals backhand is "weak", Novak woudl have chose to hit to it more so? Losing 2-6 in the 3rd, I would think hitting to the backhand often, didnt work out too well. These 3 always play good matches, and they clearly are the top 3, most consistent players on tour. federer si a very smart player and knows what he needs to do, as does nadal, Novak etc. It is just being able to do it and succeed on the crucial points, and just cause one might exploit a persons weakness at the moment doesnt guarantee a win either, unfortunately. Love watching these 3 play.

  13. Rafa's backhand isn't weak.  It may be a defensive shot, but then again he's a defensive player.  He's been able to handle Federer quite well with his backhand, especially on clay.

  14. this is old news, everyone knows this, but its harder to actually do it in a match than just talking.
