    I've been trying to find info for you...

    This is the only thing I've found:

    Sir James Douglas... a 14th. century scotsman

    Loyal cavalier to Robert I, King of Scotland (Robert the Bruce).

    Sir James fought alongside the christians during the battles of conquest of Teba by King Alphonse XI.

    There is a monument in Teba, with a plaque relating this. The plaque  was a gift to Teba by the people of Melrose, Scotland... and was presented by the descendants of Sir James who brought the plaque to Spain.

    Sir James Douglas fought and died during the above named battles.

    I presume that august 25th. is a memorial day for this event, (?) but I have not found any references to the date of august 25th. in the local holiday listings nor in the Ayuntamiento (town hall) website...
