to stop thinking he is fat,and to stop wearing a stupid hoodie in 80 degree weather?

He has to see it for himself to beleive it, theres nothing u can do to make him think else wise, u have to let him express himself with the clothing no matter what u think about it, not trying to be mean but if he asks for ur opinion then give it but if not dont say a word, with in time he will begin to see that hes not fat

1. Take away all his hoodies, just hide them somewhere. Unless he is going to trash your stuff, in which case, involve a parent.

2. Get him somewhere where he can't run away, and tell him that hiding from his problems isn't helping him. If he thinks he is fat, tell him that you both can go on walks/runs every day and become more active or something, and that might make him more comfortable.

3. Generally, something else might also be bothering him, so you might want to be the nice brother/sister and ask him if everything is okay, and if there is anything you can do to help him.

You can't get  your brother do anything he doesn't want to do.  He has deep rooted self esteem issues that only counseling will be able to resolve.

But is he really fat?! Take pics of him and show him that he is not fat and tell him that even if he is, he should not wear a hoodie cause it won't hide fats. I guess someone must have make fun of him in school and with his age of 12, i bet he really is affected with it. Try to talk him out of it. Or maybe hide his hoodie.

Is he overweight?  If he is, then try and encourage him to stop eating so much and lose weight.  He'll feel better.

If he is normal weight, he may be suffering anorexia.

Show him pictures of people that are heavier than him. That always seem to work.

so hed look skinnier wearing regular shirts.

or tell him to start off wearing collar shirts, they look better on bigger guys.

and besides i really dont like guys that are skinny, or even normal at that.
