Question:

I hurt my ankle running 4 days ago and it still hurts. it isn't swollen and my parent wont take me to the dr.?

i hurt it in the grass at soccer practice it hurts I'm 13 please help

  1. you can make your ankle feel better by putting ice or heat on the affected site. only leave the ice or heat for about 15 - 20 mins at a time and no more. wait about 30 - 45 mins for doing it again. also you sound rest it some and elevate your leg. you will feel better soon. advil helps too, if you have access to it. if it still bothers you go the nurse's office at school for more help.


  2. Immobilize it, using bandage rap. Keep it elevated and do not walk on it. use ice to keep the swelling down. and after a few day you can use heating pad or a wet cloth in microwave for approximately 45 seconds.  If the pain is unbearable after two or three days you NEED medical attention.
