It hurts by the elbow but not the bone, the pain is where the elbow meets the bicep.

  4. Deep bruising.

As your muscles move they press on the bruised area.

You'll probably see some discolouration in a few days.

  5. Might be tennis elbow, I had this happen to me twice, once in karate when someone hyper extended my elbow and once over a period of a weekend that I spent moving and lifting too many heavy objects. I would have to put it on a pillow at night and kept it at a slighty bent angle. When I tried to extend it, it would really hurt. This went on for a while, 6 weeks or so. I purposefully did not try to "work it" open by extending and closing it, I simply tried to let it heal on it's own, and not lift too many heavy things using that arm for a while. Sometimes we try to work out the pain, when we really just need to not exert it too much and leave it along to heal. If it does not get better, I need have some therapy done on the one after the karate injury and that helped much quicker, they connect your elbow and arm area to wires and use some type of electric therapy, did not hurt and helped great, a little costly though. God Bless you.
