  1. A warrant will be issued for you, and the next time that you are stopped for speeding or some other traffic violation and the officer runs your license through his database and sees the warrant, you will be arrested.

Jury duty is a civic duty of U.S. citizens and a privelege. If you were being tried, you wouldn't want someone to bail on serving in your jury because "they had plans".

You should have changed your plans.

  2. Christ, just go and make up an excuse for not being able to serve... you won't get arrested that way.

People like you are ruining our country.  "I had plans"... idiot.

  3. Depends.  Normally you will be summoned before the judge.  If you don't showed up that cops will pick you up.  Based on that you could be fined or jailed.

  4. I hope so.

  5. Yes. They issue Bench warrants for jurors who ignore a judge's summons.

This is no joke. You need to try and talk to the DA and fix it before they do it for you.
