I injected Enbrel into a blood vessel?

Do I need to be worried? I pulled back on the plunger and didn't see anything but then when I pulled the needle out there was alot of dark red blood and then I saw a little blood inside the needle area of the syringe? Will this be a problem??

Call your doctor, Even the overdose effects of Enbrel have not been well evaluated. I imagine that if you actually got the medication in your bloodstream that you would already be experiencing adverse effects. Call your physician to be on the safe side.

holy c**p nothing. You'll be fine. Maybe some site swelling or stinging. I have done this with Enbrel and Humira many times when distracted and rushing. You will be fine. Take next injection when you are suppose to and if injection site gets itchy and swollen apply ice.
