  1. No signal is going to the monitor.

This could be caused by a host of malfunctions, most of them serious.

Does the computer give out a little bleep as it starts?

Does the green light at the front of the computer come on?

If not then it is your power supply. Check all power cables, the wall socket, and the power surge.

If the green light comes on but the computer doesn't give a beep, it is most likely the motherboard or a component on it.

If possible I would check the monitor cable, make sure it is well seated at both ends and doesn't have any kinks/ Try a different monitor cable if possible.

If the green light comes on, the computer gives a beep, AND the red light next to the green light flickers then you may need to repair your XP installation - see below.

From here on it is a matter of checking inside the case for obvious loose cables or the smell of hot metal or burning.

The blue should be black! Is there at any time a blinking small line at the top left hand of the screen? Can you boot up from the install disc? If so, it means either the MBR or partition table has got corrupted.

You could try the repair option in XP if the XP disc boots up your computer. Theree two repair options and the second is the one you should use. This mean starting the install process again and choosing repair after you have keyed in your product number.

    Hope this helps.

  2. your xp is original?

  3. During an installation of Windows XP, blue screen is normal (Provided that there a line below and run a series of check till you see welcome page)
