Everything works fine, the light switch and the fan switch.

What I've noticed is that whenever I flip the fan switch on/off real fast, the desk lamps on my nightstand (even though they're off) flickers on for a split second.

Could it the the ground?

  1. Keep It Simple...

Check to see if the bulb is loose or the plug in.

If all is ok then you may have a wiring issue.  There may be a box up in the attic that the outlet, light switch and other plugs in that room are joined to.  Since you put he fan in you may have pulled on the wiring a bit more then it could with stand so it may come loose or loosened up enough to cause a momentary disconnection.

  2. Have someone check your wiring before you use it, to be sure and so you don't end up in a house fire. I know someone who lost they're home due to a ceiling light wired wrong! Better safe than sorry, right?

  3. maybe an exposed wire in wall/ short or breaker overloaded?

  4. got to be a wiring problem get a sparky (electrition) to check it out

P.S. never do DIY electrics unless your competent,

    you can`t see electric,

    you can`t smell electric,

    you can`t hear electric,

but h**l can you feel it
