I have an MSI MS - 6712 motherboard. Recently I got hold of an ATI 9250 AGP8X 128mb TV-OUT graphics card. When I installed it on the motherboard and turned on the PC it started making a rapid beeping noise. So i switched the pc off and put the old one back and it started normally, so problem is the Video card. What is am I doing wrong and how can I overcome this problem ?

  1. It is a tough call, your msi kt4v should be compatible with that card so it could be the card itself is bad or your power supply can't handle the extra load with the new card installed.

I would swap it out with other agp 8x systems that have a higher rated power supply, if it does not work the problem is the card itself.
