I installed my linksys g

Question

I installed my linksys g pci wireless router after uninstalling at the advice of the linksys tech. I use free wireless network. The tech installed a security enabled wireless network VU1V3 and now post installation Linksys is asking for a keycode the tech told me that I needed to find the isp so I can get on the server. I do not believe that I needed to have this security enable wireless deal installed and now cannot even uninstall it. i do not have a wireless router I have an adapter. What should I do?
