  1. go to railreurope.com

  2. TGV´s from Paris to Switzerland arrive at Zurich, Lausanne and Geneve.

Here the trips that you can do, please notice that the fastest and less complicated are those ones with only one train change.

  3. way the fastest route is to take the TGV from Paris to Berne. Berne is only a few miles away from Interlaken. When you arrive in Berne, take the national train direction Thun and Interlaken, it's not more than 30 miles.

  4. The nearest Swiss TGV stations are in Lausanne and Geneva - so either take a TGV from "Paris Gare de l'Est" to Lausanne or Geneva (a bit less than four hours), then a Swiss train to Berne, plus a train from Berne to Interlaken. It's easy, and within Switzerland there are enough train connections.

The total amount of time needed should be below six hours, including changing over.

BTW: The first answer with "Munich" is incorrect - probably the person meant Mulhouse, which is a French city near Switzerland with a direct train from Paris (no TGV).

  5. If you have a Eurail pass just ask at the ticket counter in the train depot. If not you will still have to go there for a ticket anyway so they will tell you what you need to know. You can get an idea by checking the posted schedules what time to leave and arrive. You will have to change trains.

Go to the Gare(depot) L'Est (east).

I recommend Paris to Munich to Interlacken.

Depart late and take an overnight to Munich then you can arrive reasonably early in Interlaken.

  6. Neither the fastest route nor the cheapest but by far the most beautiful (at least on the Swiss end):

TGV Paris to Geneva or Lausanne.

train from Geneva/Lausanne to Montreux (or if you have time, take the boat part of the way)

Golden Pass Panoramic (first class panorama wagon if you can afford it) from Montreux-Zweisimmen

    train from Zweisimmen to Interlaken
