They said I would hear from them, I have a feeling I didn't get the job. Should I wait to hear from them, call them, or just figure I didn't get the position?

  1. call or visit.

If you weren't hired, you've lost nothing.

  2. Don't sweat it, for a couple of reasons.

First, public school jobs must be posted -- it's a requirement, even if they have the person they want to hire.

Second, often the jobs are posted on the district site by someone in HR.  Meanwhile, the principal is still interviewing people for it.  It's pretty common for central admin to have no idea what the people in charge of hiring at the school are doing.
