  1. WHy not? Bluegill is really good eatin.

  2. it depends on the condition of the lake if it is clean there are no worries but if the lake is polluted you should prbly stay away from the fish in it i have a lake were i live by and all the factories dump in it and no lie i have caught a 2 headed fish in it before

  3. As long as your catch is free from external/internal parasites which will be obvious when you catch/prepare your fish and as long as its not caught next to an industrial / city outfall it will be fine.

Many Freshwater species have a 'muddy' taste- however the Perch Family are probably the best of the bunch (A 'Bluegill' is'nt an English species.

As always in these things use local knowledge.

    Best wishes.

  4. I believe CT like NY issues a pamphlet w/ fishing licenses designating areas & bodies of water where the fish are safe or  unsafe to eat or where you should limit the amount of fish eaten.

Might also  check the CT fish & wildlife sites.

    Best regards

  5. Yes why couldn't you its perfectly safe
