I jammed my lens camera lens?

i have a polaroid camera. I jammed the lens somehow and now it is stuck open. it has been like this for a few months. I used rechargeable batteries on it, and put them back in. now the front screen comes up then the camera makes a noise and turns off. what to do??

  1. If your camera cost less than $100 and the warranty is up it isn't worth fixing.Why pay $80 to fix a $90 camera? Live and learn.

    Sorry to hear about your camera.  :(

    Your camera is malfunctioning, so there really isn't anything YOU can to to repair it yourself.   It is the only option you have, but if you intend to keep it,  you must take it in to a camera repair.   Ask the technician for an evaluation of the problem and an estimate for the repairs.

    It may be more than what you want to pay to get this camera fixed.  Lens problems are the most frequent repair techs see on these little digital cameras.   Usually they need to order parts and there is a wait time.
