I jus boought a HDMI to DVI cable , the resoultion is HD but still there is no sound, i changed audio to HDMI.

resolution is jus fantastic being HD but there is no sound. i changed audio settings to HDMI, but still not sound, i even used optical to 3.5mm cable used to get the sound and lastly i also used composit cables from ps3 to TV with red and white jus inserted. did all three of them but still no sound lol

please helppppp ??

DVI is just a video transfer link, like your VGA cable for your computer monitor.  It has no audio capability.  HDMI and DVI are only partially compatible for that exact reason.

Connecting to separate audio inputs won't help because they're associated wth a different input selection than your DVI input.

In other words, plain and simple, DVI is just for video.  Not audio.
