  1. Internet speeds are measured in the number of bytes you can download per second and the number of bytes you can upload per second.

    Regarding your results, it means that at the moment you did the test your Internet speed was about 10-11MB for download and about 1.5Mb upload speed. Wow! Do you have Cable or FIOS?


  2. Download speeds determine how fast your network can download content onto your computer. This number is measured in kilobits per second (1000s of bits of which is 1/8th of a byte) and is here, displayed as the speed data was downloaded from the site. 11,148 kbps is quite unually fast compared to most computers.

    Same goes for upload.

    Ping is the time it takes for their datacenter to send a 32 bit piece of information and back. This varies center to center and is determined by both distance from the center and your computer response time.
