I just Need Something to Believe In?

What do you believe in? Every time I think I see a person worth following I realize something about them that ruins it. I need something I can be devoted to. Don't you?

  1. you need to be devoted in yourself...thats the only advice i can give ya...

  2. The best person to start believing in is yourself.  Once you find out who you are and what you want in this world. (It may sound simple or corny or even stupid) then you do not need to "believe" in anything else.

Please realize that I am not saying do not believe in God.  Which is also something away to strength your self.  (That is a personal choice)

I thought I had some books on my bookshelf that might help but I don't.  There is a really good called "The Power of Now". Not sure of your age group.  But it is still an incredible book that might give a small push into what you are looking for.

    Anyways hope this helps.

  3. I believe in me.

In the journey that has been.

In the fact that some things will never change while most things do (and usually a whole lot faster than we like).

I believe in helping others and making this a better place to be.

I believe in love (if you have children, how can you not believe in love?! if you don't, then I guarantee you will learn love like never before when you have children!!)

I believe that there is something that I am supposed to do while I am here on this earth.

I believe that this earth is a pretty incredible place and we ought to be nice to it too.

I largely don't believe in religion, but I do believe in God (religions have been corrupted and God talked to me... my explanation can't get much more direct than that).

I believe in learning and education.  Even if what we learn is flawed.  Open minds can use flawed material to learn good lessons.

I believe that we can if we truly want to.  Unfortunately most just want to talk about it but they really don't want to change or achieve anything.

I believe that you will find what you are looking for if you don't give up.  I know you will because you are taking a journey that most won't even take and I know that there are answers that are calling to you (you don't realize it but they are there.  I didn't realize it at first either, but once I started hearing the whispering in my ear/mind/heart it became much easier to discover them.)

Good luck to you on your journey.  :-)

  4. Put your trust in ice cream. It will never let you down...........

  5. everyone is imperfect

    and will fall

    look for someone bigger

  6. I think you need to lighten up little buckaroo.

It's summer! Don't miss the watermelon!

And it comes seedless for crying out loud!  I had to do alot more spittin' when I was your age. So go out and getcha-self a big ole

watermelon ... put it in the fridge and make it nice and cold.

    You’ll be sayin' I B E L I E V E   in watermelon!

Thank you for calling and sharing ... and shall we take our next call please.

  7. I feel the exact same way. I tend to have people I know in real life as my role models, and time after time I find out that they are not anywhere near perfect.

While religion might be a good way to solve this, I found that the people you can really believe in are those like Mother Teresa and Ghandi - they made essentially no big mistakes. There is no dark secret to dig up.

  8. God and don't worry about how other people act (too much). I think you'll find it very satisfying. Try reading the Bible. One with lots of footnotes.

  9. Get to know your religion through its bible, not other ppl.  If theres something that doesnt sound right about a theory (such as gods existence) that doesnt disprove it.  Just learn to draw up your own point of view and opinions. Take me for ex.:

    I believe in god

However, i dont believe in fate(unlike most christians)

I am a diest (one who thinks god doesnt interfere with earthly affairs)

and i think most things spiritually man would have no way of knowing about. ex-heaven.  How would anyone know what it takes to get in: believing, good deeds, spirituality?

Have your own opinions man all of our knowledge is derived from one book the rest is up to you to decide.

  10. Isn't it enough to believe in yourself? That somehow you can make a difference in this world? Or even just a small part of it? It doesn't have to be earth-shaking.

Civil rights. Equality. There's two things right there that are worthy. You could think of more things in two minutes. Why do you have to follow someone else?
