My son is 8 weeks old and I am having trouble loosing the remaining belly fat. I am getting married in 7 weeks and trying so hard to lose the weight. However I am thinking of buying a corset just in case. Has anyone ever used one and do they work wonders? Or is this something I have to make sure I can do on my own? The wedding dress was bought before I got pregnant. Please help! And if you know of any that worked really well send me a link too!

  1. hi! no sugar (except fruit) or whites of any kind--tummy fat is from excess carbs. if that fails, spanx is great, they have em on amazon.com

  2. I bought a camisole online that has a built in strapless bra from Betty Schwartzs. It works great, especially if you are a C cup or larger. I would only try this if you have a dress with heavier fabric on top, as it might show thru silk or something similar.

If you have a silk-like dress then I would buy a girdle or some Spanx that go all the way up to your bust line. If you don't like the look of panty hose then you should get the power panties, they stop mid-thigh.

  3. Are you breast feeding? That burns loads of calories.

If not, then good old fashioned calorie restriction and weight training should help.

  4. Try a high protein diet. And exercise as often possible, remember to always suck in your abdomen, it helps tremendously. I lost all my baby weight a week after birth.

  5. I would suggest a serious vegetarian/vegan diet and take your son for walks around the block everyday, pushing his stroller. It will help strengthen you and keep you healthy. You could also do sit ups and pilates excercises. I also think you should get some very nice shapewear. Not just a corset, but some tummy-tucking underwear and then put a corset or bustier over the top (it sounds uncomfortable but I'm doing that to hide my tummy and its really not bad at all.)

  6. Cut out refined sugars and starches. Stick to a diet of healthy proteins and carbs. Also, since a corset can be bothersome to wear for a long time, buy some spanx to wear under your dress. They are very slimming and comfortable. Lastly, enjoy your new baby and husband!

  7. im a guy so i wouldnt know. but heidi klum does a great job losing weight after having kids then getting ready for the VS fashion show so try looking up how she does it.

  8. If you are breastfeeding its very important that you eat a healthy diet and keep taking vitamins - a crash diet will harm you AND the quality of baby's food!

Breastfeeding burns lots of calories too, so stick to a healthy diet, and try exercising more.  Tummy crunches etc.

And buy some good undies to help pull you in.
