What i did was i placed a plate with a bit of metal on it.

The microwave sparked up and i stopped it, it smelled a lot.

So i placed something else in the microwaved heated it worked fine.

But i am worried that it may be dangerous to eat?

Or should i get a whole new microwave altogether.

The microwave works fine now, i am just worried it may be dangerous to eat the food with the radiation

  1. Well, I'm not dead yet, and I've done that a few times!

  2. The food is safe to eat, but might taste a little bit metallic and not delicious.

  3. The food is fine - microwave radiation stops as soon as you switch it off, and it not stored in any food.

It can damage the microwave's paint on the inside, but otherwise it's absolutely fine to use.

  4. do not worry at all, every one does it. The microwave is fine and so is the food. Best to buy a plastic food cover to use every time they are very cheap.

  5. When you start turning green, you will now know its time to get a new microwave.

  6. No sil;ly everything is OK  nothing to worry about at all

  7. If you are that concerned just throw the food out and be more careful in future. The microwave still works so don.t throw it out.
