  1. We just adopted one too, and same here with not eating.

I offered her wet cat food and she gobbled it down very quickly.

Though she was not drinking water, so I offered a little milk with water and she got the idea to drink from the bowl.  I don't feed her milk anymore, but this was just to get her to drink.

Then we brought her to the vet for a full exam and turns out she had worms.

Within a few days of her being treated for worms she was eating dry food often.

I only feed her wet food on occasion, once a week or so.

Make sure you get her checked out by YOUR vet.

    :-)

Oh, we keep dry food in her bowl at all times so she has access to it and fresh water daily.

We are new to the kitten thing and we have only had dogs in our lives.  Just get her checked out.

Remember, this is all new to her too and she just maybe a little upset with her new surroundings but will bounce back in no time.

  2. I am suprised about the kitten not eating cause of worms, normally worms cause extreme hunger in cats and kittens and they will eat continuously.

As far as a newly adopted kitten goes, you just need to give her time.  She knows where the litter is so she will use it, probably when you are out or asleep.  We brought a 7 month old cat home three weeks ago and she didn't go to the toilet for 2 days.

She will spend the first few days hiding and coming out for short periods until she feels safe in her new environment.  Just make sure you leave fresh food and water out for her at all times and she will eat when she is ready.

    Best of luck

  3. Ask your cat if she wants to gain weight or stay the same.

If she says "Meow" than she wants to stay the same.

If she says "Meow" than she wants to gain weight.
