I just appeared briefly playing a rugby union match in ESPN+, and i looked like a whimp!?

It really showed my worst moments! Im a lock... what do you think about it?

The camera has a wide focus and can make you look like your waiting in the background at times, it's a visual thing mate.

If youre a lock then why ask this question.  Most lock's I know would not even care unless it was somthing really stupid so they would get the c**k award for the night and would be too hungover tomorrow to remember.

Really, just play.  If you are a good player the selectors will recognize it.

When I first saw myself playin (a friend recorded with camera) I was horrified! I looked like an idiot, my style of running was like I escaped from an institution for mentaly retarded and it seemed I just stroll from ruck to ruck and when I get there just lean on somebody! While playing I felt I was really doing hard work and was dead tired after the game. It really made me think hard.

Good thing about it is: You can really improve your play by seeing what you really look like. I made great strides forward and really improved my game. Work on the aspects of the game that looked most terrible, enter rucks vigorously, tackle like man possesed... and next time you will proudly tape the TV show and show it to all friends and relatives for years, and your children and then your grandchildren...
