I meet the income requirements and stuff so thats all good. But now they have to check my credit report. I have a 669-675 credit score. How will they determine if I can rent their apartment? I make effort to pay my bills on time but you know how it is, sometimes you forget but still pay it. They said that on approved credit I get the first rent free and only pay 199 dollars for deposit. Even if this doesnt work out for me Im still fine with paying the monthly rent and the 300 security deposit. But my concern is, will I be able to rent even though my credit history isnt the best such as late payments sometimes, revolving credit card balances, etc. I just really need a home and I am worried they'll say no because of past mistakes, etc. I have a job and make 2600 a month so I fine on that. What do landlords look for....I just figure if landlords can rent apartments to drug dealers and people that have no jobs on certain occassions, will my situation be ok? Thx

  1. I was an apartment manager and also I worked for property management company.

We look for people who had been on their job for at least one year.  Past rental six months or more.  FICO Score of 650 or higher.  No Eviction, collection or re processions.

I don't think that you will have a problem finding a nice place to live.

  2. Dear friend, visit my website. I have some informations to take note on your plan.

    Thank you

  3. You should be OK, that is fair credit for a renter.

  4. The thing is you are not going to rent the apartment where the drug dealers live. This apartment sounds like a regular apartment complex.

This whole thing may be a good learning experience.  If you have a computer you should have a way to remind yourself that you have bills coming due. When they come in the mail pay them. Pay more than the minimum. 669 score is not terrible, but you can bring it up just by paying on time. See how important it is and how easy it is to do.  The landlord does not want to hear.. Well you know how it is.  Well you know that he will not rent to you if that is your attitude.

  5. If you don't have a bad history for apatment rental you should be fine. They mostly want to be sure that you don't move in and out without paying if they see that you have a good rental history, it's all good.

  6. Depends on the complex. Some of them are looking to see if you've ever skipped out on where you live, while others are looking at your score.

  7. From the information you've given, you should be fine.

But get your finances straight.  You will need it when you buy a house.  Be a responsible person, and teach your kids and relatives how to be responsible.

If you're not responsible, you can't teach them how to be responsible, can you?

  8. A good credit score is at 680 as long as you dont have all your credit cards maxed out and your not late every month I don't think you'll have a problem.
