It's a smallish hotel and i am just wondering if there is a time when they shut their doors meaning you can't get access to your room past a certain time. On the confirm page the following information is listed;

*** please contact the hotel to give the hotel owner your phone number to get the keys of access to the room from 18h00 to 20h00 *** (does this mean everytime i want to come back to the room between them times i have to phone?).

*** arrival time before 06h00 pm or notify the hotel ***

  1. No - that would apply only to the night you are arriving . Many of the smaller hotels and Bed/Breakfast places will give you an additional key to get in the front door along with your room key.

    I could never stay at a hotel that gave me a "curfew" so to speak

  2. Well, if you booked it, yes

    DUH!

  3. Actually, the French don't take too kindly to willy-nilly comings and goings with their hotels. In fact, once you check in you're pretty much stuck there. Attempted escape precipitates a date with the guillotine. I should know. I tried.

  4. No, it's telling you when you first arrive what to do if it's  between those hours or if you get there before a certain time. It sounds like dinner time (8 oclock to 10 oclock) and early in the morning (6 oclock)

    You can come and go as you please.

    Have a good trip

  5. Many small hotels do lock their front doors late in the evening.

    However, they also have a night manager there who will open the door for you.

    Mind you, the night manager may doze off and it can take a few brisk knocks on the door to awaken him.

  6. Just ask them. Its confusing. In USA they give u one master key which opens door whenever u want. Even in small hotels.
