i just bough a speaker system from walmart, it is called a roadmaster rts3000t and is a 300 watt system, what gauge wire do i need and how do i hook it up in my room instead of my car ( detailed info. )

  1.  These speakers are simply awful; weak and tinny.  The tweeters are cheap plastic piezo units, and the box looks like some China-man built it with his feet, drunk.  And it is mos def from China.  I am gutting one for a buddy and sticking some spare cheap tweeters and mid-woofers into it so he will have a one-season only disposable boom box for his boat.


    So, to answer your question, while Guest8128 is correct about the ohms, it's not too big a deal to run your home amp at 4 ohms with this little box as long as you don't push to distortion.  However my installation advice would be to use the cheap plasti-chrome back handle to lob it into a dumpster, and listen to a clock radio.  It will have more hi-fidelity.
