I just bought a 2003 Eclipse spyder with an infinity stereo system-- how do i hook up my IPOD?

I have read reviews about the FM transmitters and want something with better sound and if possible something i can control on the stereo dash. I know this was right as they started installing hookups under the dash I didnt know if my model of car has one or if there is a better alternative. Let me know if you have any insight (I just bought the car so I cannot afford to spend a lot of money on the IPOD hookup)
