We asked the dealer, he said no problem. My friends say, as long as i have a V8. My truck manul says not with a 2 wheel drive, it would mess up my transmission. This spec sheet about towing, I got along with the truck says, it doesn't 'Recomend". So maybe? Help? Do I need to trade in already?

  1. The maximum towing is 5000 pounds but remember that you only get 13 miles per gallon in town and 18 miles per gallon on the road, so make sure that you have a transmission oil cooler on the truck.

  2. Whats your vehicles towing capacity if its 5000lbs or less then you cant but also keep in mind that 5000lbs trailer is 5000lbs unloaded. Add 40 gal of fresh water, clothes, dishes, etc etc your weight goes up considerably
