and i can't get ahold of one. what can I do with this gift card! I really want to buy something from ebay for like 20 bucks. I won't be going over. so can i just use the gift card?

yes you can use the gift card

Email the seller of the item you want to  buy.  Their contact info is to the right of where the initial offer info is.  Ask if they accept Ebay gift cards. Worst that can happen is they tell you no.
