I just bought a 94 Ford Taurus, and the rear right tire is smoking. What is a possible cause of this?

It could also be the bearing. Jack up the car and see if the tire can be rotated. If it can't, seized caliper, if you can, bearing.

on of this pistons on your rear caliper is seized and causeing the pads to be constatly pushed agaist the rotor....you wanna get this fixed asap because it can cause more damage like a cracked rotor or something....you dont need a new caliper you can just break the piston free and re grease it ....this should be done whenever changeing pads or rotors... need help with the diy just email me
