I just bought a GE Dect 6.0 cordless phone. I am getting so much static that I cannot hear a thing.?

Am I missing something or should I just return it?

You might also consider a Uniden DECT 6 phone.

Bring it back, and get a good Panasonic phone. DECT is a lot of c**p, (HYPE), it is operated around 1900 Mhz., using G3 technology, for the average home phone owner this means little to nothing. You can get a good multi-phone cordless system at a lower price. I use a Panasonic with 3 other cordless sets in chargers around the house. No wiring needed, just the charger plugs in the wall, when needed. Runs circles around a few 'DECT' phones I tried.!!! I would stay away from Uniden and V-Tech.

hmmmmmm, I bet someone already had returned it....bring it back and get another one!!! but get a Panasonic DECT 6.0 instead!!!
