I just bought a GE25952 cordless phone, the one that I'm talking to can't hear me.?

But I can hear them and there's like an echo repeating what I'm saying. This includes 2 handset and the other works fine.

I'm not sure if the other handset is broken or if I just need to do something or work on something with the other one.
