The camera came with digital stills software, a USB cable, and a cable for attachment to a VCR or TV. However, it did not include any information on how to upload video to a computer. I want to be able to email video of my daughter to family - but when i plug in the USB cable nothing happens. The camera has mini-dv cassettes and a memory card.

  1. Mini DV's can only be uploaded by firewire. So you need to find the firewire port on your camcorder. It looks like a USB port only smaller. You need a firewire cable. And you need a firewire port on your PC. I suggest you research the JVC support site on the details of your particular camcorder. They may have some free video capture software and updated drivers. You also may want to visit your PC support site to see if your PC has firewire?? If it does not, you will need to install additional hardware. Good luck!!

  2. I had this same problem. You know how it has nothing to upload to the computer? Yea, it's because you can NOT upload to the computer. I borrowed my Grandpa's JVC camera and I was doing alot of fun stuff until my mom told me it can only upload to the computer!! Sorry that happened! Your just gonna have to get or borrow a new camcorder. That's what I did I borrowed a camcorder! Sry that happened! I know how you feel. Please choose me!! I don't normally beg!!
