I just bought a N1 catback exhaust and its not making that sweet sound. What should i do?

What is this hooked onto a 4 cyl engine V-6 ? Some time the exhaust has to be retightened and run a while. When In doubt replace the 4 cyl with a 6.0 liter LS-2 V8 convert the car to rear wheel drive then the sound will be that of a corvette.

You have about three choices-

1. Live with it.

2. Put it back the way it was.

3. Throw more money at the problem and try a different system.

Your car is an automatic transmission isnt it? Cars with standard(manuel) transmission usually make a better sound because of the constant reving and changing of gears.

Anyways, a custom exhaust is usually used for performance purposes only. If there is a nice "growl' to it, its a plus.
