I just bought a Prince tennis racket and the "P" is already rubbing off every time I play. Is this suppose to happen? This has never happened to me before with any of my other rackets.

Did I get a fake? Should I just have my coach re-string my racket? It's a brand new Prince O3 Speedport Pro White

  1. no it's fine.  I have that raqcuet and the same thing happened to me.  it's just painted on nothing is wrong with the strings.  You have nothing to worry about.

  2. It's just a logo -- just ink. Eventually it would come off, especially if you play always.

  3. yes, the "P" is just a painted logo and it will gradually disappear as you play or when your sting will break and you need a new one.

    your options are:

    a. leave it alone and keep playing

    b. get it painted by whatever logo or picture you want

    c. if you want to change the tension or sting re-string it

    btw its not fake

  4. It's just ink. It shouldn't affect your game. The "P" is  just a logo to tell someone from afar that you play with a Prince. An advertisement. If you feel like you need to re-ink the strings, you can buy a stencil ink from your sports outlet. Some people use permanent marker but I discourage the use of it since the chemical in the marker can damage your strings.

  5. It's just the ink on the racquet. I'd continue playing with it, but once it is somewhat worn out, get a prince stencil and use a new bottle of ink to redraw it onto your strings.
