I am thinking about the swivel stock, but does that get in the way of your trigger hand, and how easy is it to install, a black composite fore-arm on it?

What would look better, a guy at work told me to get the stock that folds under and over the magazine?

  1. the swivel stock won't interfere with your trigger hand, and, personally, i'd go with the Dragunov stock. you can search online for them. the fore end isn't that hard to put on. if you are looking for a compact weapon, go with the folding stock; if you are looking for that extra "wow" factor, go with the Dragunov.

  2. Underfolders take a different trunnion and will not fit a Romanian

A folding stock will not interfere with the trigger

replacement forearms are not at all difficult to put on

  3. Lots of stocks here.

  4. Get a NATO-length synthetic stock set from TAPCO. Forget the folders and extendable stocks, get something solid. while you are at it, order a recoil buffer and G2 trigger group.

  5. I am looking right now at the Fiberforce Dragunov Stock for AK-47, at http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ for $60. Guaranteed to raise eyebrows! Regards, Larry.

  6. SELL IT! Buy an AR 15!  Didn't know Romania made a AK 47.  How many countrys make this rifle?

  7. I bought a Yugo-built AK that had garbage wood on it, and I replaced it with U.S.-copy polymer furniture, but the company I got it from isn't in bizz anymore. I also have an E.G. clone that I bought an adapter from an outfit named Federal that adapts the underfolder to a fixed-stock receiver, which also extends the stock length, but I don't know if Federal is around, either.

Installation of a polymer forearm is a piece of cake for anyone with normal mechanical ability & hand tools. I did all my furniture conversion with no problems.

To find sources for better furniture, check some of the AK specialty sites, or the firearm auction sites like GunBroker or GunsAmerica.

These look kinda funky, but give it a look. . .
