  1. I am having a hard time understanding why you bought it. The DDP-1 is an outbourd Dolby Digital Processor used to hear Dolby Digital on a surround receiver that didn't have the processor built in but had 5.1 analog inputs. There are no "Dolby Digital Ready" receivers anymore. They all have the Dolby Digital processor built in. You can even get it built into the DVD player if you get a DVD/SACD player.

It was made to go with the RX-V2090, A fantastic receiver from about 10-11 years ago. So if you happen to get that receiver or one like it then you might have a use for the processor.

  2. Highlight Yamaha DDP-1.  Right mousclick.  The Yahoo search helper will popup.  Use it.  you'll go to the yamaha website and you can download a manual.

Its a good idea to research an item before purchasing sight unseen online, unless you've been drinking then hey anything goes.
