Question:

I just bought a Zune; is it just my computer, or is the set up on this thing supposed to be over an hour long?

I decided to make my jogging life a whole bunch easier by buying an MP3 player of sorts. It's one of the newer, smaller Zunes that comes in the puke-green/pea soup color.

It doesn't come with an installation disk like my friend's did. (Granted, she had the first wave of Zune.) It tells me to go to the website and open it up. So I pull up Mozilla, get on that site, and download the set up.

I open it... And it goes to a screen that has three steps to installation; 'checking for updates', 'preparing your computer', and 'installing Zune software.' It's been stuck on the first step for at LEAST an hour now. What's going on? Is anyone else getting this?

- I'm running Mozilla Browser.

- My computer runs on Vista.

  1. You probably have pop-ups blocked, and the very last part of the installation came in a new window. Try allowing pop-ups for the Zune website.

Or Microsoft could have the website set to work only in Internet Explorer. Try using Internet Explorer for just the installation.
